In a world that can feel heavy, chaotic, or even "evil" at times, surrounding your thoughts with positive light is an act of spiritual resilience. Here are some ways you can do this:

Ways to Surround Your Thoughts with Positive Light

Guard Your Mind's Gate

  • Be "mindful" of what you consume -- news, conversations, environments, if something consistently drains or darkens your spirit, step back.

  • Choose uplifting words, music, and imagery to fuel your inner world.

Affirmations of Light

  • Speak words like "I am surrounded by Divine Light. "My thoughts are protected and guided by love."

  • Repeating affirmations imprints your mind with higher frequency energy.

Visualization of Light

  • Close your eyes and imagine your thoughts as little orbs. Surround each one with a golden, white or violet flame of light. This transforms worry or negativity into higher vibrational energy.

Gratitude Anchors

  • Every time your mind drifts to the dark, pause and name 3 things you are grateful for. Gratitude shifts the lens of your perception instantly.

Compassion Practice

  • Instead of battling darkness with more fear or anger, practice sending compassion to yourself first, and then outward. This doesn't mean excusing wrong, but it prevents your inner light from being dimmed.

Conscious Presence

  • Stay rooted in the present moment. Most fear and heaviness come from replaying the past or fearing the future. In the "now," you can always choose peace.

Think of it this way: Evil or darkness may exist in the world, but it cannot rule your inner temple unless you open the door. By surrounding your thoughts with light, you are choosing peace over your mind and spirit.
